The $499 PS3 and All it Lacks
By now you probably know that Sony is going to begin selling two different versions of the Playstation 3 console later this year. The premium edition will retail for $599 and the somewhat nutered version will go for $499. Well, unlike the two different configurations of the Xbox 360 that Microsoft began selling last year, there is a lot more missing in the lesser PS3 version than there was in that of the Xbox 360. If you want to know just how much the lesser system lacks and how it could cripple your chances of playing hi-definition Blu-Ray movies in 1080p down the road, you may want to read this article at IGN. Surprisingly, it's actually very good and very informative.
