An auction on Ebay that I've been watching for the past 24 hours is about to end in 47 minutes. It's for an item that retails for $750 and the max bid right now is only $260. The item is in like-new condition and judging by the many photos, appears to be perfect aside from a small scratch in a sticker.
My plan is to swoop in with 2 minutes to go and put in a bid. I won't bid too much because I can't justify it right now, but hopefully it will be high enough to at least outdo whatever the other bidder's limit is. It's really hard not to bid early. But I must not give the other guy enough time to get an email alert and spring into action.
I think I need to take a short walk.
